Poland Syndrome.

Poland Syndrome was discovered by Sir Alfred Poland when he was a medical student. It describes a condition where there is ipsilateral breast and nipple hypoplasia and/or aplasia, deficiency of subcutaneous fats and axillaru hair, absence of sternal head of Pectoralis major muscle, hypoplasia of the rib cage and of the upper extremity.
He actually discovered this condition on his cadaver and describe this chest wall anomaly in Guy's Hospital gazette.

Do you know any other person that had a major discovery as a medical student?
